We are privileged to have Jim and Mary Gillespie serve as two of our Honorary Campaign Chairs of the Best Medicine Campaign. There is no one more emblematic of our institution’s mission and vision. Their generosity has provided much needed inspirational leadership for our Campaign. Jim and Mary Gillespie have been part of the growing Stillwater health community for over twenty years. While they currently reside in North Hudson, Wisconsin, they lived in Stillwater from ’81 – ’86. In that short time they became acquainted with the medical facilities of what is now the Stillwater Medical Group. Twenty years later, they still rely on this facility for their medical needs.
“We continued on when we moved because we were happy with the care we had received. And in conversations with other family members and friends elsewhere, we really appreciated the personal attention we received,” said Mary.
In addition they have one daughter who now lives in Woodbury and continues to drive to Stillwater to maintain her medical relationship with Lakeview. When asked about the decision to give to the Lakeview's Best Medicine Campaign, the Gillespies said, “We are simply grateful for the existing care in Stillwater and we want it to continue and increase. When you have something that is so good, you just want it to get better. We’ve been inspired by the vision of the leadership of what they want to do with this campaign. We’re anxious to see it succeed.”
